Privacy Policy

Your money is personal. Here’s how StillMoney handles the information you share.

Updated

01About this policy

This policy covers the StillMoney iOS budgeting app and trystillmoney.com. StillMoney helps you record spending, plan budgets, and track subscriptions without connecting a bank account or creating a StillMoney login.

“We” and “our” refer to StillMoney. This page explains what information is handled on your device, what reaches an online service, and how you can manage it.

Your budget records are stored on your device. Some features use online services, including imports and the provider services described below. We do not sell your personal information, show advertising in the app, or track you across other companies’ apps for advertising.

02Your budget and voice entries

Transactions, amounts, categories, notes, budgets, recurring payments, your optional profile name, and preferences are saved locally to provide the app’s features. The app does not upload your budget database to a StillMoney account.

Voice entry uses your microphone with permission and your device’s on-device speech recognition. StillMoney does not save an audio recording. Saving a voice transaction keeps the recognized text on your device alongside the transaction. The voice feature does not send your audio or recognized text to StillMoney or an AI server. Speech models may need downloading.

You can use manual entry instead and revoke microphone or speech-recognition access in your device settings. Local reminders are optional; notification previews may display subscription names. You can change or disable notifications in your device settings.

03How your information is used

Your entries power spending totals, budgets, categories, and upcoming-payment views. Your preferences personalize the app, and your selected reminder settings let the device schedule notifications. Voice and import features use the input you provide to help create records.

Purchase information unlocks Pro. Technical information helps online services deliver content and handle errors or abuse. Website analytics helps us understand visits and improve the site. Correspondence is used to answer your questions.

If you join the launch waitlist, our cloud database provider stores your email, selected platform, signup date, and record ID for the notification you requested. This does not subscribe you to an ongoing newsletter.

We do not request your bank password, card PIN, contacts, or precise location. The app’s local profile is not an online account.

04Screenshot and email imports

You can select a screenshot or paste text to identify subscription details. The app first tries to read a selected screenshot on your device; it does not read your inbox or browse your photo library. File imports access the documents you select.

If local analysis cannot confidently interpret a subscription import, the app can send pasted or extracted text through a cloud infrastructure provider to an AI processing provider for analysis. This request includes the input type, language and region setting, currency, reference date, and parsing confidence information. It sends text, not the original screenshot image.

Import text can contain names, email addresses, financial details, and other information in the source. Share only what is needed. Manual entry avoids sending import content to these services.

Our current AI processing provider does not use API content to train its models by default. Its default response storage retains data for at least 30 days; abuse-monitoring logs may contain inputs and outputs and are generally retained for up to 30 days, with exceptions for legal or safety needs. Account-specific settings can affect retention.

05Third-party services

The app store processes in-app purchases. StillMoney uses purchase and entitlement information supplied by the store to unlock and restore Pro. We do not receive your payment card details. The store handles its own purchase records under its privacy notice.

Cloud infrastructure providers deliver subscription catalog information and icons. They receive technical request information such as your IP address and the resource requested to deliver and protect these services. These downloads do not upload your budget database.

The app does not include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs. Your device’s operating-system provider may separately handle diagnostics under its own notices and settings. If you contact us or share feedback, we receive the information you choose to send.

AI and cloud processing providers handle imports as described above. Website hosting and analytics providers handle page delivery and visit statistics. Website analytics uses a temporary visitor hash rather than third-party cookies and includes pages, referrers, campaigns, browser and device details, approximate location, and signup or calculator activity. Our events include platform, button source, subscription counts, and whether the initial safe-to-spend result is nonnegative; they exclude your entered email, amounts, and subscription names.

06Keeping, exporting, and deleting data

App data. Your local records are held in the app’s data on your device. Deleting a voice transaction also deletes its saved transcript; editing the transaction’s description does not change that transcript. Deleting the app removes its local data; offloading preserves it. There is no StillMoney online account to delete.

Exports and backups. Use Settings → Data export for CSV or JSON files. JSON exports include saved voice transcripts. Your device settings may also include app data in device or computer backups and device transfers. Deleting local data does not remove existing backups or exported files. Manage those copies where they are stored. We cannot retrieve or delete records held only on your device.

Browser data. Your browser stores your theme, signup email and platform, subscription calculator entries, and visit attribution. Safe-to-spend amounts stay in page memory. Clear site data to remove browser records, or use the subscription calculator’s “Clear local data” button for its entries. To remove your server-side waitlist record, contact us.

We retain waitlist details while needed for the requested launch notification and correspondence while needed to handle your request, subject to legal retention requirements. Service logs and analytics follow provider retention settings; cloud import retention is described above. Deleting a local entry does not delete information previously processed by a provider.

07Your choices and privacy rights

You can use manual budgeting without voice or subscription imports, control device permissions, and browse the website without joining the waitlist. Contact us to withdraw your launch-email request or ask for access, correction, or deletion of information we hold.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, and a complaint to your data protection authority. We may need to verify a request and will respond under applicable law. Withdrawing consent does not undo earlier lawful processing.

Where required, our legal bases include consent for requested communications, providing services you request, legitimate interests in operating and protecting our services where permitted, and legal obligations.

08Sharing, security, and international use

We use the categories of providers described above to deliver the relevant features. Providers processing personal information for us must protect it consistently with this policy and applicable requirements. We may also disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect users or our services.

Providers may process information outside your country. You can contact us with questions about these providers and how they handle your information. The app and website use encrypted connections when sending information to the services described above. No storage or transmission system is completely secure.

09Children’s privacy

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through our online features or website, contact us to request its removal.

10Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. If a change materially affects how your information is handled, we provide additional notice and seek consent where required.

Our Terms of Service cover using the app and website, including purchases and responsibility for your entries.
